I made this for my mother. It is made of 4 mm black para-cord, 2 mm blue para-cord and black beads. The knot are as follows from top to bottom: English Whipping knot to bind the necklace strand, an improvised Double Hangman's knot secured with two Overhand Stopper knots, a Six Pointed Star knot with improvisations and four Single Strand Diamond stopper knots to secure the beads.

The necklace is full of symbols. Blue is the royal and heavenly color. The star is comprised of two triangles illustrating the trinity of God and man converging in the one and only mediator of the two, Jesus Christ the Lord.

The English Whipping is the same knot I used to secure the Handles on my fathers casket. As it binds the two sides of the necklace, it symbolizes the reality of the nature of life being Physical and Spiritual and God is Lord of both.

The noose symbolizes death to self(repentance). By nature this knot would untie itself. If there is nothing in the loop, it would pull through. The same is true of the two ends. Without the stoppers, they would simply slide through untying the knot. Dying to self is made secure by Christ's promise;“ For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it." (Mark 8:35) Jesus preached repentance and faith in Himself as the savior. The three that secure this promise are the Father,  the Son, and the Holy spirit. Without repentance and faith, there is no way to secure Salvation.

The star is made of three strands and is followed by four beads. Three tribes of Israel on the four sides of the tabernacle. 3X4=12 I had fun creating this piece. It is very useful as a soul winning tool.

I also made a key chain and door deco version.the Son, and the Holy spirit. Without repentance and faith, there is no way to secure Salvation.
